The Silver Lining

Missing the City of Pines

October 2, 2009

I so miss the city of pines. Baguio City was home for almost 5 years. In my time, Baguio was quite untouched — fresh, spacious, and conducive. As far as I remember, it was the only place where I found perfect peace. A place where I was at peace with myself, my health, my intellect, my music, my creativity, my friends. A place where my youth flourished and my dreams took shape. Life has never been the same again since I left.

Exploring NAIA 3

October 13, 2008

October 12, 2008 - A send-off for Dad to his Kuala Lumpur trip, the opportunity to see NAIA 3 in Taguig for the first time unexpectedly turned out to be one obsessive afternoon of photo shoot. Hatsu and I had a great time, as NAIA 3 is patterned from international airports that allow visitors to take their passenger until the flight check-in counter. Upon seeing the facility, I readily remembered the San Francisco International Airport, as well as in LAX (Los Angeles). The setup was more or less the same. As all international flights eventually intend to arrive at and depart from this facility, it is my fervent hope that the next time I travel, I’d finally experience NAIA 3 first hand.
